It may be worth subscribing to a meditation channel or app to ensure you do not get bored and it becomes the everyday for you I cannot stress enough how important just taking yourself away from it all for just 10 minutes a day, can drastically improve your health.
Meditating helps us to learn to direct attention rather that letting the mind be all over the place. It tunes us in, it makes us focus. Meditation sends our brains to the spiritual gym for this skill! It helps it to work out how to focus again, how to channel our thoughts.
Meditation makes you surrender, let go, when you jumped freely into the lake, free wheeled down Box Hill, you surrender. This allows you to be open to insights, inspiration, the solutions we find when our mind is calm that can be missed when we lose our focus.
If you have tried meditation and do not feel any of this during your practice, remember it is a marathon not a sprint. Just enjoying the stillness for 10 minutes a day is beneficial.
